FAQ’s

Q: What are the upfront costs?

A: There are no upfront costs. You pay nothing out of pocket, in fact, you won’t have to write us a single check. We will pull our percentage out of the money that is received from the courts. If you don’t get paid, we don’t get paid.

Q: Where does the money from these refunds come from?

A: The money is usually held at the local or state level of government. One of the reasons why the government is motivated to hold onto the money as long as possible is because while it sits in their accounts, they are gaining interest on it. This means that even if they ultimately send it back into the hands of the previous property owner, they are still making money off of it.

Q: How long will it take me to get the money from my refund?

A: This can vary based on what level of government we are retrieving it from and if there are additional liens on the property. However, typically the average amount of time is 60 to 120 days. Our company is guaranteed to rush this process as much as possible. Our resources to include attorneys are able to get your refund in without the risk of errors or additional time lapses from denied claims.

Q: Can I claim an overage refund on my own?

A: As is the case with most complex problems the answer to this question is “yes”. But, it may help to think back on the last time you had to deal with legal processes on your own. Without the proper assistance, filing legal documents can be incredibly difficult and time consuming. The best outcome would be that your filings are done properly and not rejected forcing you to wait another several months. This will mean paying the right attorneys and learning the process on your own. Worst case scenario is your claim is denied and you don’t get your many back. We will eliminate option two.

Q: What’s the Con?

A: No con, no scam, no catch. We take care of the work while you sit back and wait for the check to arrive. We have streamlined this business to be fast and effective. It is for that reason, that we are able to to get more and more clients while making a profit off of our reliable system.

Q: How did you find my information? (Cell number, home address etc.)

A: We utilize special skip tracing tools (most of them are built like online phone books) which allows us to get gain public records. We may also employ help from a third party to assist us in finding potential clients.

Q: will I be able to contact you with any questions or concerns?

A: One of the problems with working with the government/attorneys is that often the customer service aspect just isn’t there. Attorneys charge by the hour and the government is simply too efficient. At Hood Asset Recovery, we value our clients and will always take your calls. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We will ALWAYS respond.

Q: Why is this the first time I’m hearing about this?

A: The government does not work hard to contact people who may be owed money. Most of the time, the only address they have for you is that of the foreclosed property. So even if they did try to mail you a letter, the odds of you actually seeing it are very low.
